Booksellers helping booksellers grow

Paper Gold started in 2023 with a simple idea: guide newer sellers in the right direction so they can actually make a living selling books. Bookselling has a way of looking easy from the outside and confusing from the inside, and a little guidance early on saves a lot of guesswork later.

One of our hosts, Thomas, knows that path well. He dropped out of college in 2021 to run his own business, found books after learning you could buy one at a thrift store for a dollar and sell it online for much more, and today he and his business partner Spencer process nearly 1 million books a year.

These days Paper Gold is a global community of 150+ members. Some have sold for decades, some are brand new. Some run brick-and-mortar shops, some sell online only, and most do it part-time. We've taken people who had never sold a book to six-figure sellers, and our mission stays the same: help booksellers around the globe grow their businesses.
